Yes. One more post about Breaking Dawn.
Actually, there will probably be one more after this. The re-cap.
But to the Twi-haters, it’s not going to last much longer. Promise.
My own mother told me, after reading yesterday’s post, “I can’t wait for this Twilight stuff to be over so you can write about normal things again.”
Well, Mother. You’ll have to wait another few days.
BECAUSE TONIGHT IS THE BREAKING DAWN MIDNIGHT PREMIERE!!!
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
When I arrived at work this morning, I promptly put on my New Moon Burger King Crown that Jared & Holly got me a few years ago. It has been sitting on my desk ever since, waiting for this perfect opportunity to wear it.
Sharon, one of my Twi-buddies coming to the movie with me tonight, told me I’m not allowed to wear it to the movies or she’ll leave me on the side of the road.
But seriously. When ELSE am I going to get to wear my Edward Crown?!?
She’s lucky it gives me hat-head, or else I’d never take it off all day.
Anyways. So we’re going to the movie tonight. And it’s all I can think about.
But as many of you know, I’m a bit of a worry-wart. So along with the giddy excitement, here are a few of the things that are niggling at me today:
- The tickets: We have pre-ordered tickets on-line from the theatre we are going to. I have never done this before, so I’m worried about it. I had hoped they’d email me the tickets, or give me a tracking number, or something, but all I got was an email back telling me my tickets could be picked up at the theatre box office or automated box office with the credit card used to make the purchase. I have no clue how this works. Do I just say, “Hi, I ordered tickets, here’s my credit card, please somehow believe me” ?? I’m confuzzled.
- The midnight crazies: I’ve never done a midnight premiere before, and after reading many of the posts linked up to yesterday’s Ultimate Twilight Fan Link Up, I noticed that several of them said they don’t go to the midnight premieres because the crazy Twi-hards squeal and talk throughout the whole thing. I’m not very patient with people talking during movies at any time – definitely not when it’s with Twilight. I keep telling myself to soak up and enjoy the experience tonight, and not to worry about the crazies. If I have to go see it again at a quieter time, I will.
- How early should I be there?: I have no idea how this works tonight – in particular, how early we need to be there to line up. We know we have the tickets, but we want to make sure we have good seats, and that we all get to sit together. Our plan is to have dinner first, and then go line-up. My thought is that being at the theatre by 9 – three hours before showtime – should be enough. Anyone have any advice? Is that sufficient?
- Falling asleep: This wasn’t even a question in my mind until last night. I was like, “Oh, I’ll be so super stoked about the whole thing that I won’t even be thinking about sleep!” But then last night, I thought I was all wound up, and put on Eclipse to watch…and then fell asleep about 10 minutes into it. At around 8:30 PM. I didn’t wake up til the credits were rolling, two hours later. I CAN’T FALL ASLEEP AT THE MOVIE TONIGHT!!!! Luckily, Sharon has recommended going to Starbucks to load up on some espresso shots that will hopefully carry us through, along with the giddy excitement of the evening. Hopefully this will work!
And that’s about it. Otherwise, just totally excited to be going tonight. To be one of the first to see the movie. To have fun with my friends.
And to drool over Edward.
Um. YES.
It’s gonna be a blast! :)

O...M....G!!!!!!! It's almost time! AH!!!!
I know when it was Harry Potter around here for a midnight showing people were there in line in the early to mid afternoon... it was crazy, I however wasn't one of them... nope, I watched the reports on tv. Can't wait to hear about it though :)
in my town I don't think people get too excited but the first few days seem to be packed (me and my best friend usually wait a week or so to go)
I hope you enjoyed it! I saw it last night. I feel the same way when I preorder tickets for movies! Each time I saw Harry Potter I had the same worry. I can't wait to hear about your night!
