I'm Baaaaack...

...Well, sort of! Word on the street is that I'm getting my computer back at work tomorrow, so that will be just wonderful. I've felt very out of the loop this week, especially since I haven't had time in the evenings to do any Blogging. I'm glad to hear some of you have also been missing the Blog. Makes me feel wanted!! ;o)

So, okay, the only really relevant thing that has happened to me thus far this week is that the Sens FINALLY won an important game, defeating the Buffalo Sabres, aka The Cream of the Crop, on Wednesday night. I was fully planning on witnessing another loss, so it was a pleasant surprise. Kind of gave me some hope that all is not lost just yet. They still have a little fight left in 'em. But I'm trying not to get too high with the win. It is, after all, only one game. If they don't follow it up with a few more big efforts, it will go down in the books as a fluke, or as simply an off-night for the Sabres. But at least for one night, I went to bed with a little smile on my face.

What else have I done that I can tell you about? Oh yes...Remember on Monday when I was telling my tale of "firsts"? The whole Sunday night rip thing? Well I did it again on Tuesday night - not quite as severe, but again I landed at Gavan's, and while a weeknight appearance is not unheard of, it is rare for me. And I had yet another first. I was informed that it was "Quart Night", and I simply had to get a quart. So I did. I don't ever recall actually going up to the bar and ordering a quart. Ever. For those of you fearing that I've become an alcoholic or something equally alarming, don't fret. Once "the mystery is solved", my social life will once again go back to being practically non-existant, and these uncharacteristic adventures to the local watering hole will just dissappear, I can assure you of that.

Anyhow, I really must be heading off to bed. My apologies, once again, for being a bad Blogger this week - I promise a return to normal next week, as long as my computer doesn't decide to get sick again. Thanks for your patience and for coming back to check things out, even when it's been so quiet!

Have a GREAT weekend, gang!!

isn't it funny when you feel like your social is lacking all the cool exciting stuff happens over the course of two weeks and then dies off. I hate that, its like a tease.

Hey guys! My computer really IS back! YAY!!
Sara: Yes, sorry I forgot to reply to that part the other day - I did get your money, thank you very much! I didn't even think of it until I found the envelope, and I laughed! I can't believe I forgot about it when I was at your place! And sorry I haven't been in touch this week - without the computer, and with some busy evenings...well, I feel like I haven't talked to you in FOREVER! But I'll definitely give you a call sometime this weekend. I have "practice" tonight, but I'll try to track you down tomorrow!
And Kathleen - forgive my ignorance, but who is Michael Ignatieff?

It's good to have the Blog back. Not having it around as a distraction just added to the crap week it has been here at Algonquin and to put the cherry on top last night Wayne found out that our hot water isn't so hot and for some reason it's not working. But it was more important to watch Survivor than to trouble shoot. Meanwhile, this morning I showered in cold water and my house still has not heat. So that's really cute. Pnemonia here I come!
Sorry for the crabbing, but I am utterly depressed after this damn week! I have been yelled at, I have been snubbed. The Cell phone bill came in and the cheque that Wayne sent hasn't gone through. And it hasn't yet either, I called this morning to see if it went through between the billing date and today and it hasn't. So I had to pay double cell phone bills and every other bill plus have enough money for the rest of the Christmas Presents. Some marriage! I am by myself all the time and I do nothing but clean up after his muddy arse all weekend and then I pay all the bills.
Again sorry, I hope this passes sure soon because it's sucking!

Oh no, Sharon! Sounds like it's been an extra-crappy week for you. I hope you get your heat soon and that the hot water gets fixed...I'm sure everything will be better then. Try not to get too depressed. The sun'll come out tomorrow, tomorrow! (Imagine me singing that to you, okay?) Actually, I don't know if the sun'll come out tomorrow, 'cause it sure hasn't been out much in the past few months. I think that's adding to people being depressed. The weather seriously SUCKS!! I really wish it would snow instead of rain for a change.

Well the sun has come out here. But I am still in a bad mood. I really want to go home and go to bed.

And your song made me smirk. Thanks Jill!

Guns n' Roses concert is tonight. Woohoo! I'm not real excited though, because I know it is going to be a loooong night. Their Toronto show had 3 opening acts. The first was strippers!!, then some unknown local band, then Bubbles introduced Sebastian Bach. When it was finally Axl and the boys' turn to come on stage, it was 11:40! And they played for 2 hours and 15 minutes, so it was like 2 o'clock by the time they were finished. So even if Ottawa doesn't have strippers the show still only starts at 8, and Axl is known to delay the show. So that's why I'm not real excited, I hate having to wait. I will have lots of time to buy my t-shirt. Sara- Ryan invited Chad to the camp tonight too, so maybe the guys will have a visitor. But he says if he goes he won't stay out late because he's getting up at 5:30 to go hunting. Jill- I feel bad that you don't have my mystery money yet.

PK - Don't worry about the mystery money, next Saturday is soon enough! I think we'll do the same as last year - I'll leave your tickets at the back door and you can just slip in and grab them in case I'm not there. I think Stacy said she doesn't mind going down at 4 to reserve the table, so once you or Sara get there, she will go home and get ready - but we can finalize that situation next week!
Anyways, hope you have fun at GNR! That's crazy if they don't go on til after 11! But I'm sure it'll be an awesome party atmosphere. I was reading all about Axl in yesterday's Citizen. Have a great time and a good weekend!

thats not GNR...where are Slash and Izzy Straddlin?
and Jill Michael Ignatieff is one of the candidates for the liberal leadership. Not that I've really been following but as I was typing he appeared on my tv screen and I thought "damn that man is creepy."
