Beauty Queens Make Me Scream

Okay, so I am way behind in my recaps again, but rather than try to catch up on all of them, I'm just going to give the lowdown on the Amazing Race, as it is the one most fresh in my memory. For those of you who enjoy the Survivor & Grey's recaps...Sorry!

I missed last week's episode when we bid farewell to the Cho Brothers, so I was once again a little disconnected from what was happening. The four teams left in the running included: My Hot Boys, James & Tyler; the Barbies, Dustin & Kandice; the Bama girls, Lynn & Karlynn; and Rob & Kimberly, who apparently do not have a team nickname. At least not one I can remember right now.

Teams learned they would be flying to Morraco (I have no clue how to spell that), and despite the Barbies' attempt to swing better flights, they all ended up together in Morraco at the same time. Surprisingly, Bama found their clue first, proving the rest of the teams are severly underestimating these women. The other three teams tried to get directions from people on the streets, and then Rob & Kim and the Hot Boys bolted when a gang of Morrocan teens swarmed the Barbies' car. The girls were fine, though, and after they all found their angel pendants, they headed to the Roadblock, where the gates didn't open until 8 AM the following morning. So they were all deadlocked once again, with a Yield looming.

In a footrace to the Yield, Tyler & James arrived first, followed by Rob & Kimberly, with both teams choosing not to Yield anybody. The Barbies then beat Bama to the mat by a long shot and slapped their picture up on the board, forcing Lynn & Karlynn to tip over the hourglass and wait for the sands of time to run through before they could continue racing. That resulted in two severely pissed off black women sitting their grumbling away and flipping the bird at the Blondes. Can't say I blame 'em.

Meanwhile, in the Roadblock, one team member had to race around a track in a horse-drawn chariot à la Gladiator and snatch flags of a certain colour from overhead. For some reason, this proved a difficult task for my Hot Boy. He had to take an extra loop around to collect his flags, but fortunately, the boys were easily able to catch up with the other teams as they raced to the Detour.

Their choices were to throw clay pots - (and no, that does not mean you get to throw pots and smash them. It means you have to actually make them, on a pottery wheel...very tricky, so no one picked it) - or squish some olives with a big wheel and then scrape the gunk out of the barrel and fill up a bunch of sleeves with the stuff. The Barbies got lost on their way, so the rest of the teams made it there ahead of them, including Bama, who are absolutely amazing with directions. Because there were only 3 stations, the Barbies had to stand back and wait for the other teams to finish. That resulted in two severely pissed off white girls whining and bitching about how life's just not fair. Shut up, bitches!

Tyler & James were the first to make it to the Pit Stop; however, they forgot their angel pendant that they were supposed to bring with them in their car, so they had to make a dash back up the hill to get it. Bama arrived in plenty of time to beat them to the mat, but while they have great directional skills, they really can't run, and Tyler & James blew by them to land in first place after all. Their pendant matched the one worn by the "greeter", so they won something. What, you ask? I have no friggin' clue. Bama stepped in in second place, followed by Rob & Kim in third. I had already figured out that this was a non-elimination leg, so I was not surprised when Phil offered a reprieve to the last-placed Barbies, much to my chagrin. I really thought it would have been nice to see those Beauty Queen Smiles smacked right off their faces.

So with the Race winding down, my favourite team remains the Hot Boys, but if they can't pull it off (and with all the stupid mistakes they've made, I won't be shocked if they don't), I would like to see Rob & Kim take it. They've grown the most on this Race, I think, and Rob's transformation from Bad Guy to Sweetie Pie has been remarkable. Strangely, I grew a respect for Lynn & Karlynn this week, as they overcame the setback of the Yield and perservered to finish in second. I really hope they make it to the Final Three and that the Blondes are sent home first. With them tagged for elimination on the next leg, it would seem a likely possibility.

Well, that was a long one! Cheers, everybody! Have a good day!

Great recap of the Race Jill... I was kind of mad that the Barbies didn't go because they are getting on my nerves big time.

Last night I opted out of AquaFit for 2 reasons:

1. I felt like crap all day
2. The weather was crappy

So I went home and visited Wayne in the barn while he milked. And then we went home and watched 7th Heaven.

Rev. Camden and Annie were finally back in the states with one flight left to get home. But thanks to Ruthie complaining about American policies in Airports and stating that she definetly does not fit the description of an Al-Quaida terrorist, they were questioned and re-questioned and searched by the port authority. Causing them to miss their flight and have to take a flight 4 hours later.

Back at the house Lucie was taking care of a sick Kevin and Sam and David. The Foster kids T-Bone and the two girls made a surprise for a very tired rev., Annie and Ruthie complete with song and dance and a new bed donated by Bedorama... that has a remote... now this was funny because all Eric kept saying was how he wanted to be home to sleep in his own bed... and he got home and it wasn't even his own bed... anyways not really much happened on the episode... but I still like the show.

Wayne cleaned up his tools and I got the perfect idea of where I will put up the xmas tree as a surprise to him... I am going to move the bookshelf into the porch against the window and move my trunk too... and put it in that corner... I am hoping that I can maybe pull it off Saturday Afternoon after I am back from the city and before I go to the xmas party... but I will have to be really stealth and organized in order to pull it off. Linda said she would help me... so maybe I will do that and Sunday I can back and prepare things for the cookie exchange next wednesday. I am making mini individual dips like layered dips, only a healthy version.

Tonight I am going to scout out the xmas decorations in the crazy room upstairs and I think I will make another 4 batches of Scones... and then that should be enough. I am going to add Kisses in to make up for the lack of a dozen as 12 scones won't fit in my containers. But I think I have already mentioned this.

Today I am going to the bank and lunch and I am going to pay off my VISA bill completely, I can't wait! I have been waiting for this for a long time! It will be a huge weight lifted I tells ya!

And it's the Season Premiere of Degrassi The next Generation... Emma is a slut... but she was before... but she's worse now... but it's on tonight at 8:00 on CTV so tune in :)

That's all for now. Hope you are feeling better Sara and hope everyone else is doing well.

I like the Barbies - i really want them to win just cuz they're playing the game - you're not on the show to make friends - you're there to win and it would be awesome for the 2 girls to win!! i wish the black mama's would leave already, they drive me insane! Well yesterday, I skipped out of work around 2 cuz no one was here and i went to Wal Mart and got the crib set and a teeny weeny shelf that was kinda disappointing. When we got home, Ricky took 2 hours to set them puny shelf up, i set up the bedding and now Tinker feels this is her home and wants to sleep in the crib - she never bothered going in when it was just the mattress but now that the quilt is in there - she wants in! So we're trying to get her in the habit now that she can't go in there (tinker is my cat for those who dont know). I tried to organize the room a bit but not much success - not until i know where I am putting stuff. I set up the mobile too and Ricky set up her swing. We're all set pretty much, just need her!! I would go shopping Saturday with you Jill but I dont really want to venture into the malls - i pee too much and its just a pain to be walking from one end to another especially with my back pains...I'm hoping to get most of my stuff Friday after work. Sara - did you and Graham want to possible come and see Deck the Halls Friday night? Let us know!! Anyways I'm sure it will be a really slow day bceause it feels like i've been at work already for like 3 hours and it's only 10 after 8 so check in with ya's all later!
Have a great day - not a sunny day - possibly freezing rain - i wish it would just snow already!!

For any of you who read my comment on yesterday's blog, last night with the animals went much smoother. The cat didn't bug us and Bailey only barked twice. The rabbit was bad earlier in the evening though. He went uptairs and we couldn't find him, then he chased the cat and jumped on him. So he got put back in his cage early. Mark called from Mexico last night. He said it was 30 degrees there. Their time is only an hour behind ours. He said he has seen lots of boobies, every kind of boob that anybody would want to see. And he said the plane ride wasn't that bad. He will call again later on in the week. But anyways, I'm really loving my short commute! Thanks for the recap of 7th Heaven, I keep forgetting to watch it.

Good morning ladies!
Just got back from Campbell's Bay from picking up Luker's new car at the licence place. Sounds like everyone had busy afternoons/evenings yesterday! Stace: Don't worry, the puny shelf will serve a purpose, maybe in the bathroom as you mentioned last night. And I completely understand how you would not want to go into a crazy-busy mall on Saturday with me! lol... OH, and for Friday night - I don't know if Sara and Graham are up for it, but I am...but only if you and Ricky want me to tag along. If it's date night, that's ok, I can stay home...lol.
Anyways, better get some work done...I'll check in later!

Jill - it doesnt matter about going to the movie, i could really care less if you come with us, I'll just run by the plans with Ricky again - we would probably just stay in the city though and maybe we could meet somewhere. We'll see in a couple of days, closer to the date. How was the new car? Did you get to drive the new car? What color is it?

Jill said...

Okay, sure, just let me know closer to Friday what the plans are; I can definitely meet you guys in the city (and if Sara decides to go, she can come down with me) - we'll sort it out!
The car was cool...Yes, I drove it (haha! Luke! I was the first one to drive your car!!) - it's black, very cool...But I had to give Linda a little sweet talk when I got into her to come to work. I told her she's still better than that new kid on the block, and that I love her so much. So we're still friends.

Good morning
I'm feeling a little better, I felt very stuffed when I woke up and I have this sore back for some reason but it only hurts when I sit so that's good since I am standing all day pretty much.
I will ask Graham about a movie, I'm actually going out for supper and to a movie Thursday night with my family.
So what kind of car did Luke get? Where is it from? I didn't know he was getting a new car.
I have to go to the pharmacy at lunch, maybe I will pick up some neocitran.
PK- I wish I was in Mexico. i want to go down south again so bad. You know I hardly saw any boobs when I was in dominican, the beach was pretty much full of older no so attractive ladies, but the pool areas seemed to have some skinny "hot looking girls". I remember a certain someone checking out one RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME.And saying "how you doin'?" to her. Guess who??? lol. Oh well blame it on the drinks.
i think it's funny kind athat Tinker knows she will soon be replaced.
Have a good one.

Jill said...

Sara: Sorry to hear you're still not feeling up to par! Maybe the Neocitran will help. Is your family going to see the Santa Clause 3? I remember your mom saying she wanted to go see it. Hope you guys have fun!
Oh - as for Luke's car. I guess if I was nice I'd let him tell you about it, but I don't even know if he reads the Blog anymore. So I'll tell you all about it. Seeing as how I drove it first, it's practically mine anyways. The ol' Escort died on him a week or so ago on his way home from work, and they replaced the timing belt in it, but Luke had been wanting to get a new car, so that kind of triggered him to start looking. He took Friday off of work last week, and him and Dad went to Pembroke to car shop. On Saturday they went back, and he ended up getting a 2007 Pontiac G5. It's a 2-door, black, pretty sporty...But as I already mentioned, Linda's still better. She's still the classy one in the driveway. lol...
PK: Glad to hear the pets were better behaved last night! I wish I was in Mexico too...
Oh, and Sharon: Thanks for the 7th Heaven recap! I actually watched a part of it at Stacy's last night, and I sorta knew what was going on thanks to you!
Talk to y'all later!

LUKE LUKE LUKE - what is he thinking getting a 2 door - I would never go back to a 2 door, well obviously i have a Madyson on the way...lol - oh well - i'm sure we'll see the new kid on the block driving around soon enough. It's so nice getting a brand spanking new car - the nice car smell - actually our car still sorta has it from time and time - you just want to keep it clean all the time - and well black may be a little hard like my navy blue, however, it wont be as bad now that hunting is over and there are no more deer lookings...our poor car got quite the beating with dirt - oh well, nothing a little cleaning can't fix, unless you take it to the Esso Car Wash eh Jill - pretty shitty job that did that time. Ricky hasn't been checking the blog but I'll talk to him later about Friday night. Anyways that's all for now!
Talk to ya's all later - has it started freezing rain yet?? LOL

Oh my goodness.. Luke didn't get a FORD. What's happening?? A Toyota and Pontiac in the driveway? LOL.

Anonymous said...

I still can't believe Dad actually let you drive it home.... that's an accident waiting to happen. Oh, and by the way... I drove it first when I took it for the test drive so you can kiss my a@#!!! I guess it's a good thing he let you drive it though because it's the last time you ever will. And Lady Linda is now the old lady in town. 10 years older than her younger competition.... lol!!!!!

Hey girls i too wish i was in Mexico ...... Oh wait i was there Kinda surprise i was invited back this time..... We should plan a trip in like 2 years and go a hold bunch of us it would be a lot of fun..... Drinking looking at boobies and enjoying the nice hot sun that i love so much..... Can't wait maybe even our girls will flont there stuff lol...... The ocean is a lot of fun especialy when the waves come in and they are big ones you really fly...... Oh well maybe some day

Jill said...

Luke: Don't call Linda names! You wouldn't even have your car if it wasn't for her driving Dad & I to C-Bay this morning! You owe her gas!! And as for me driving her home - That was part of the terms I worked out with Dad. I told him I would go with him on the condition that I got to drive the new car home, and he didn't even hesitate. You can take that up with him.
Sara: I know, Dad's almost having a heart attack that the Fords are starting to disappear from his yard. Oh well...One day I'll get my Mustang and make him happy. lol...
Ricky: Yes, I'd love to go to Mexico on a big trip and look at the boobies. That's definitely the main reason I'd want to go...hahaha...Seriously, though, if anyone ever decides they want to go down south, I'M IN!! (not for the boobies, though, just the sun and teh fun...and maybe I could find a boy...*sigh*)
Wow, I write hockey blogs to interest Luke & Ricky, and today all of a sudden they come crawling out of the woodwork...Just at the mention of cars and boobies. Sheesh...men!!

Anonymous said...

Well Jill you want to talk hockey Toronto just traded micheal tanquist to phoenix for tyson nash and a draft pick or something.....

Jill said...

Hmmm...Well that was an interesting tidbit. I'll have to go to TSN to check that news out. Not that I give a crap about the Leafs, though...;o)

Anonymous said...

Ricky hun, you should really check what you write before you send it -what you meant was you were kinda suprised that you weren't invited back this time - the way you wrote it, it sounds like you were invited and you wouldnt have been going over my dead body. Well I was never one to go somewhere hot because I can hardly stand the hot summers in Quyon let alone down south. However, we will be going to Disneyland sometime when Madyson is older (neither Ricky or myself have been there) so that would be a fun trip - as for somewhere hot, it would be nice i suppose - but with a big gang of us!
anyways keep dreaming - not anytime soon - baby on the way and no money put aside to save - but we'll start saving now!! Ricky, our baby fund has now become our
"Trip Fund" can you imagine how much we'll have in 2 years....

Jill - did you see the breaking news on the Sens:

The Ottawa Senators are headed to a movie theatre near you.

Today, the Senators and Cineplex Entertainment confirmed an earlier Sun report that the NHL team's five pay-per-view telecasts will be made available to fans at movie theatres in Ottawa and Eastern Ontario. The Vancouver Canucks and Toronto Maple Leafs earlier joined the growing trend of bringing NHL telecasts to movie theatre screens.

The five pay-per-view games will be shown at the South Keys, Coliseum and Silver City cinemas in Ottawa, Galaxy Cinemas in Brockville, Gardiners Road Cinemas in Kingston and Galaxy Cinemas in Cornwall.

Ticket prices are $10.95 for adults, and $8.95 for children ages 3-12.

good thing we have this to keep our day going...it is very dark and gloomy here in Ottawa, make you just want to go home and sleep - well i think Ricky and I are going to have some supper and then i'll kick his ass AGAIN in Skip Bo (our new game we play) LOL.
