…but then again, it always is. ;)
Today, the We Want to Know questions are all about July 4th. As a Canadian who just celebrated our national holiday, I figured I’d skip them and show you how this little town celebrates.
Here are some of the pics from the party in Quyon on Saturday night.
This is supposed to be our annual cousin photo. Apparently we need to adopt some more cousins.
That’s Captain Canada back there, workin the bar!
I used to call him my favourite Quyon Flyer…but since he doesn’t play anymore, I’ll just call him my favourite Michael :)
I love this picture, except for my sweaty hair
Canada Day group photos are da best.
So. Yes. It was epic. The BBQ was a hit, the parade was wonderful, our brand new flag (the second-biggest size available in Canada!) was beautiful, the kids loved seeing the reptiles in the park, and the fireworks were, in a word…
LEGENDARY!!!!!
Absolutely one of my favourite days of the year. Hands down.
I miss it already.
Sunday was the day of recovery. Nothing better than waking up the next morning and going straight to the BlackBerry to see what kind of drunken texting and Facebooking I might have done. That’s always fun. :s
After helping to clean up at the hall from the night before, I was off with my mom to the Lang Family Reunion. It was such a nice afternoon, sitting in lawn chairs in the shade, visiting with so many relatives, and getting to know many I had never met before!
I heard someone saying there were supposed to be over 150 Lang relatives there…
Dillon meeting his newest little cousin, Neve (she was the youngest one at the reunion, 10 days old!)
Danica and Caden, rockin’ the shades
Uncle Elson hanging out with Ryla & Dillon
Dillon & Uncle Elson
Edward, David & Robert
Sally holding Baby Jack
Cousins catching up!
Stephen and Jenna
Our branch of the tree – Hazel Lang Schock’s family
I only wish Grandma could have been there for it – she would have loved seeing so many of her family members all together. I thought of her often during the afternoon. It was a great time, and I’m proud to be a part of such an amazing family.
And then came Monday.
Magic Mike Day!!
Is Magic Mike going to win an Oscar? No. Does Magic Mike have a great storyline? No. Is Magic Mike the best movie I’ve ever seen? No.
Will I be buying it the second it comes out on DVD? Definitely. Absolutely.
I want Channing Tatum to dance for me every.damn.day.
That is all.
So that’s a wrap on Canada Day!! Wishing all my blog friends south of the border a very Happy 4th of July! :)

Looks like you had a great Canada Day!
You are very lucky to be able to get so many people of your family together in one place. Our family is all over the world.
As usual, it looks like you had a ton of fun!
Looks like you had a lovely day! And kind of jealous that you guys take pics at your family reunion. Like of everyone there. I have pictures from mine, but no "group" shots. I guess no one ever thought of that but me, and I don't have that kind of pull :).
And I'd like to see that movie but it'll probably be once it comes out on DVD. I'm a cheap ass.
Looks like you have been having loads of fun!
Happy belated Canada Day to you!
