Testing...

Hey guys!

Well, as you may have noticed, yesterday we had some "Mystery Bloggers" showing up, and while nothing they wrote was offensive or inappropriate, I prefer to know exactly who is visiting Jill's World and posting in the Comments Section. We're a fairly tightly-knit group here, and while I do invite new posters, I would like to know who is reading and writing amongst us!

So I have taken Kenny's advice and changed the settings so that everyone must register as a member of this Blog before they can post. I have no idea how this works (I'm already registered, so I don't know if it's a complicated process), but if it is a great inconvenience for any of my "regulars", please let me know via email and I'll try to figure out some other options. The key here is that I would like people to post their actual names to erase any confusion or suspicion. The only other option, if this one proves too difficult, is to simply remove comments that don't come signed by someone I know. If this registration thing is too much of a pain for my faithful Bloggers, I'll try doing that instead.

But for now, I'm testing this out! If it fails, I'll look at other options...But I hope you all take the time become full-fledged Jill's World members, and that we continue mingling together here in the Blogosphere!

Cheers!

Sharon & Kenny have both emailed me, they are having troubles posting...I'm working on figuring it out, but for now, here's Sharon's post which she emailed me...Thanks for your patience!!
Well Jill that is just fine, I have set up an account. But I don't plan on using the Blog... I don't think there would be many readers... unless I get really passionate about something... I don't plan on using it... ah vell all for the good of the Blog.

And I would like to welcome Luke to Distance Education with Algonquin, you will be getting a letter from yours truly next week in the mail. I am always happy to see new registrants because it means we are growing!

I have registered for a Distance course starting in January. I am taking Financial Accounting I, I figure that it's the next step. I have desk top publishing, graphic design, why not further in accounting. I liked math in high school!

Jill I might have figured it out or maybe you did

seems to work now.

I was telling Luke that I wanted to start an all sports blog. Previews highlites analysts of games etc. Now that I have signed up I think I might start it.

Mom just found out we will be getting High Speed internet in the New Year so I can do it at home if I'm to busy

Kenny: I switched it so that it allows only Registered Users instead of Team Members. I would have to enter everybody as a Team Member after they registered, and that could get a little complicated, so I have set it up this way to see how it goes. As long as you're registered, you should be able to post now.

For those of you who aren't "registered", I apologize for the hassles, and maybe I'm over-reacting, but this place is like our little "family", and I don't want anyone to feel as though our privacy has been invaded. All are welcome to post - just as long as we know WHO YOU ARE!!

A Sports Blog sounds like a great idea, let me know if you start it up and I'll be a regular!! ;o)

I used to love the Flyers Blog before it got SHUT DOWN...

Anyways, it may just be you, me & Sharon for awhile, but I think in the long run this registering thing is a good idea. And I can still delete comments of I don't know the registered users. I just don't like all this "Anonymous" BS...

Perfect Sharon... I was a little worried that my registration didn't work. Will it be hard to do the online course with dial-up internet??

Luke I can hook you up with high speed...I guess that means you too Jill.

There is a big discount if you do it before February 1st

Well Jill, it seems to be all good now.

I jsut had my little get together her at work and of course a lot of people are totally bent out of shape... whatever, they are all scrooges! I think people need to think better of their work place!

I am in the Christmas Spirit though!

Hi Luke,

QUA2311 is a blackboard course and that's not hard to connect to with dial up. So that one will be all good. It's when you get the courses that are delivered on First Class and you have to download that platform, it get a little time consuming with dial up. But QM1 is all good! Plus we have just revised it so you are getting the newest course materials!

Well here I am so I guess it worked. Merry Christmas to all out in blog land. Today is my last day before the holidays. Yay! But I am so busy trying to get all my work caught up before I leave, plus it doesn't help that I am in charge of Karen's invoicing while she's away. But it's good to be keeping busy. I got an early Christmas present delivered to work this morning - Chad got me some flowers. There are some yellow lillies, pink roses, pink and red carnations, purple daisies/mums, and some other dark pink flowers that I don't know. They are pretty. Maybe I will see some of you at Gavan's on Saturday night.

Glad to see you guys have made it through the registration process!
PK: How sweet of Chad to send you flowers! And thanks for mentioning Saturday night at Gavan's...

For those of you who don't already know, Nick has the band FOUNDATION playing this weekend to "test them out". (Former Agnewers Chris & Quentin are now with Foundation). Anyways, Nick has already told me that he doesn't think they'll be his "type" of band...And if any of you have been to Gav's lately, you'll know that Nick's "type" of band can be pretty pathetic and boring. So everyone come out, have a good time, enjoy the music (I heard them at Atko's a few weeks ago, they're awesome - more rock!!) and BE SURE to let Nick know that you LOVE THE BAND!! Spread the word, and hope to see you all there!!

Well Jill, I just visited Big K's and added it to my favourites just for fun. I also posted a message about that pathetic Lemieux and how he was not wise at returning after having retired... he was just too old... just like Hasik... Floppy McFlopper Fish... Ugh... Hasik SUCKS! So does Gerber... sorry, I have a lot of built up anger towards those two!

Rachel: Welcome to the comments section of the Blog!! Glad you can post now!! :o)
