It's the Zamboni's Fault

What up, dawgs!

Yep. That's my lame attempt at sounding cool today. I like to pretend I'm cool sometimes. Anyways, as you might have already guessed, I have nothing to write about again today. I still want to do my holiday special Blog, but once again, I just don't have the time. You see, the Sens game is starting in just a few minutes, and I'm trying to think of something short & creative to write about, and there's just nothing.

Except for this: Did you know that the Toronto Maple Leafs really are the stupidest team in hockey?? Now, I know I've been trying to get this point across for many years now, and some of you get it and some of you don't, but they really are the stupidest team in hockey. You want to know what that bunch of losers is up to this week? On Saturday night, they were beating the Montreal Canadiens 3-0 or 4-0 or something like that, and Montreal (God love 'em) came back and tied the game, first sending it to Overtime, and eventually to a Shoot-Out, much to the delight of their hometown crowd at the Bell Centre.

For those of you who aren't familiar with how things work, once a game is sent to a Shoot-Out, the Zambonis come out and make a pass up and down the centre of the ice, removing the build-up of snow from the third and OT periods, clearing it up for the shooters.

Montreal went on to win the game in the Shoot-Out, much to the chagrin of Leaf Nation. (The rest of the world was doing one gigantic happy dance).

So now that bunch of jokers out in T.O. are actually claiming that the Zamboni drivers rigged the Shoot-Out. Like, SERIOUSLY!! Are they absolutely retarded?? Paul Maurice, coach of the Laffs, has apparently stated that the Zambonis did not properly clear the snow from the Montreal end, making it more difficult for the Leaf shooters. Now, I used to like Paul Maurice, but apparently he, too, has been tainted by the Blue & White. It's like they have something in the water there. It turns people stupid. It's too bad, he seemed like a good guy before he stepped behind the Toronto bench. Another one bites the dust.

The really ridiculous part is that the NHL is actually investigating his allegations. I just can't believe it. Even if the Zamboni drivers didn't "properly clear" the front of the Montreal net, does anyone seriously believe that the Leafs would have won the game anyways?? They're such a pathetic bunch of clowns.

Man, I hate the Leafs.

Now that I'm all fired up, I'm gonna go watch my boys pummel the Islanders. (Fingers crossed...)

Have a good day, dawgs!!

Sara - you were up early or up late lastnight responding to the blog first thing. Well I just got into work and the roads were a little snowy on the way in but nothing in the city. I guess it will come today sometime although i dont think much is expected. We'll see i guess. Don't have much to say - the season finale of America's Next Top Model is tonight - and lastnight Ricky, Dad and I lost yet AGAIN at Super Chip Bingo - what a piss off!! Just once, I would like to win...oh well - better luck next time. It took Hollie and Terry like 2 yrs before they won so we'll keep waiting.

Jill my favorite cousin....thats right Luke.......You know I hate the Leafs just as much as anyone, but they do have a valid point. I know I would be furious if it happened to the Sens. Playing hockey I know for a fact that late in the game when the snow builds up it becomes more difficult to handle the puck. However this is was not what lost the game for the leafs they do make a strong case for them selves.

Now how about FNL. It just gets better by the week.

GO SENS GO!!!!!

Well I already knew the Leafs were stupid, but this blog jsut clears it all up even more. Too bad I couldn't go and see the SENS beat the leafs into the snowy ice... But it's just not my luck.

The drive in was okay and they are expecting about 4 to 6 cm of snow by this afternoon. I know I had about 2 inches on my car this morning of some light and fluffy. I just hope I can get home on time to get everything ready for the cookie exchange. I also have to set up the VCR so that Wayne can tape ANTM for me seeing as I will be MIA due to the cookie exchange.

Anyways, that's about all for now. Will check in later

Sara: Sorry, not everything out of Toronto is stupid. I love Jim Beer. ;o)
Kenny: Are you sure you're not from T.O.?? ;o) And FNL was AWESOME last night. I forgot, I now have you on the Blog, so I can start doing my re-caps again!
Good morning to everyone else and have a great day!!

did ya's know that it was Bryan Murray's birthday yesterday? HAHA - heard it on Y101 - i believe he turned 64....thought i'd let ya's all know of that!

Jill said...

Someone told me that last night at Curves, and then during the game last night (Woo-Hoo...Sens WIN!!) they called him "the birthday boy". So I turned to Mom and said, "Oh ya, it's Bryan's birthday, did you know that?" And she said, "Well, of course I knew that"...'Cause they're close personal friends you know...LOL

Haha - i remember when Bryan first got the coaching job for the sens, he was at the Farmers Market or something and my papa Earl was there and he got all excited and went over and told him that his grandson would just love to have his autograph - so he came home and he was so excited to give Adam the peice of paper with Bryan Murray's signature on it - it was funny - not like hes this big time hockey player or anything but my papa swears i guess that this signature will be worth money someday and i mean Adam wasnt a kid either ya know - it was like how many years ago....its funny

For those interested, the Equity online is now updated and if you look on Page 3 - there is the missing Murder Mystery article with once again, a picture of Jill and her legs!!

Jill said...

Yeah, he picked the most flattering picture he could find...lol...Not only do I have tree trunks for legs, he also got a great shot of my double-chin, and I think my lovely armpits are showing too. Thanks, Webber.
However, Kenny looks absolutely priceless in the background!! Man, I miss Murder Mystery!! It was so much fun!!

Don't worry Jill, i havent forgotten about your pictures - i just haven't been to Walmart and you may have to come with me the first time and help me work those machines...lol - cuz that way you can crop and snip etc...i'm new at this technology

Jill said...

LOL...Don't worry, no rush on the pics. Vikki was supposed to send me hers, and she still hasn't...But yeah, I can come with you the first time. Sara and I figured it out together last year - it's not hard, but the first time is kind of confusing! Just let me know when you want to make a trip to Wal-Mart and I'll go with you.
PS - Any idea if you guys are going to see Deck the Halls this week/weekend??

Jill, just wondering if you know what time the parade of lights in Quyon is on saturday. I have beentrying to find out and I can't see it anywhere!

Jill said...

As far as I know, Sharon, it's at 7 PM. If anyone else knows it's at a different time, please let us know!

Will you and Wayne be coming out to watch? If so, maybe I'll see you! (My family usually watches near our church/the post office area).

So the Leafs have the zamboni excuse for away games, but did you happen to hear their excuse for losing home games? Apparently it is because of the rule that you can't go to your seats when the game is on. So they say they can't get into the game in the first 5-10 minutes because they look up and the seats are half empty. But if I recall correctly, the Leafs were winning 2-0 last night in the first period, and the other team scored 5 goals in the third. And now this morning this is their excuse why they lost. They seemed to be into the game when they were up by 2. They are dummies.

Jill said...

Oh my God...I can't believe they're using empty seats as an excuse!! What a bunch of dinks!

I couldn't believe it last night, they kept updating the Leafs game, and when they were winning 2-0 going into the 3rd, I was sure it was all but over...And then Luke announces later on that they ended up losing 5-2...Unbelievable!! There must've been a lot of empty seats in that third period for them to lose like that....LOL!!

Now, I know I'm not being nice. It wasn't so long ago that my team was sucking severely, and I have constant panic attacks over it happening again, but I just can't help but grin when I hear of the Leafs' misfortunes and their pathetic excuses. What a bunch of jackasses!

Anonymous said...

I wonder why they think that normal people would believe that excuse. But I guess true Leaf fans would believe it. I will have to ask Chad tonight what he thinks about that. He will probably agree with them.

7:00 eh, good to know. We might head out but we are not entirely sure yet. We just heard about it...

Yeah the Leafs suck!

I am going to try and get a cordless keyboard and mouse ... but my manager is on the phone. I think I deserve some new peripherals.

ALFIE WILL BE OUT FOR AT LEAST 7-10 DAYS with a HIP INJURY......

Jill said...

Uh oh...Last I had heard he was day-to-day. That really sucks. Alfie & Wade out for at least another week...I really shouldn't have started gloating so soon...

hey Jill, thanks for some saying some nice things about the Habs. It really was a special thing to come back like that. Too bad I was at the Bruins game where they lost on a bad call the other night. oh well they are still kicking ass and the Leafs are in a free fall (like I predicted).
As for the Leafs, they are cursed partly because of their own bad karma that they let out. The guy that owns one of their minor league teams (I'm not sure, it might be Melnyk) wanted to buy the Gardens from Maple Leafs Entertainment. He had the highest bid but they sold it to Loblaws at a lower price cause they were afraid the minor league team might take business away from the Laughs. It also turns out that while gutting the building Loblaws realized that it was impossible to remove the upper deck seats because they were part of the structure holding the building up. So now Maple Leaf Gardens sits all abandoned and just rotting. I saw it when I was in Toronto in October, they are doing nothing with it. It will be like the Dow Brewery in 5 years. If they really respected their history they would have had, you know, a HOCKEY team playing there. Bitches. Habs rule.

Jill said...

No problem, I usually talk nice about the Habs. Most of the time, they're my second favourite team. Unless I'm playing them, of course. The Leafs suck, though, no matter what. I'd cheer for anyone over them. Even the Russians.

Sens rule.
