Ready for Fifty Shades of …something.

I’ve been feeling a little left out these days.

Why, you ask?

Because everyone and their grandma is talking about Fifty Shades of Grey.

The radio hosts on Hot 89.9.  The radio hosts on Majic 100.  Ellen DeGeneres.  My fellow bloggers.  My Facebook friends.  The peeps I follow on Twitter.

Literally everyone.

And I WANT IN THE CLUB!!!

So I ordered all three books from Amazon on Monday.  (I’m assuming, from the reviews I’ve heard, that I will like the first one and want to dive right in the next one, so I just got all three.  It’s been a long time since I ordered anything from Amazon, Mom, give me a break.)

I was suuuuuuuuper excited when they arrived in the mail yesterday!

The only problem is this:  I have a quarter of The Sugar Queen by Sarah Addison Allen left to read, and I already signed up for the Sarah Addison Allen Challenge over at Quirky Girls Read, so I have to finish it.  And I’ve been enjoying it, but I’m just dying to start the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy.  So it seems to be taking a million years to finish The Sugar Queen now.

Once this busy weekend, jam-packed with fun events (Aunt Marion’s birthday!  Lindsay’s wedding! Mother’s Day!) is over, I’m hoping to wrap up The Sugar Queen quickly so that I can finally meet this Christian Grey fella I’m hearing so much about…

I anticipate I’m going to enjoy him.

;)

LOL! Stacy - the Hunger Games is NOTHING like the Twilight series at all - wayyyy better!
I'm just about to finish the last Hunger Games and I need something else to read - what is 50 Shades of Grey about?

I also just bought 50 Shades of Grey!! ME, who doesnt even read books had to buy this one because of all teh hype!! Dr. Oz had a whole show about it, how all these women are reading it and its changing their lives (or should I say bedroom life ahaa)

Haven't started it yet, but can't wait to dive in.

I've read the descriptions and just couldn't bring myself to read it. I've read too much romance and this one just didn't click with me.
I've seen lots of bloggers who have read it and either enjoyed it, or didn't. There doesn't seem to be any middle ground.

Guess what I got for Mother's Day.... 50 Shades of Grey! Can't wait to finish Mockingjay so I can crack it open. Which, now that I think about it, isn't very fair to Katniss. :)

I'm so the opposite, when the whole world goes crazy over a book(s) I'm not so keen on reading it ... weird I know

I read all three in five days. I couldn't put the first one down, the second less so and the third less again. Awesome light fun reading. They were written as Twilight tribute literature and there are similiarities; I really can't imagine who will play Christian in the upcoming movie. Don't start the first one in the evening if you have an early morning the next day. I hear the silver tie is sold out everywhere for Mother's Day. Have a great weekend Jill.
