Pouring my HEART out to you people…

You got it.  Confession Friday.  Linking up with Mamarazzi.

FridayConfessionalMamarazzi

I confess…that the excitement of hitting 50 followers (56 now!!  holy crap!!) & my AWARD has made this week back to work - after a week off on vacation – much better than I expected it to be.

I confess…that I know people are being polite when they say “bless you” when I sneeze.  But seriously, people, I’m sneezing every 10 seconds.  If I sneeze more than twice in your presence, you get a pass.  You don’t have to bless me every time.

I confess…that I’m extremely disappointed in myself.  Bridesmaid dress shopping for Lindsay’s wedding tomorrow – it’s exciting, of course, but I was supposed to lose weight before this day.  I have not.  If anything, I have gained.  Awesome.

I confess…that when my sister bestowed upon me official title of “family comedian” in yesterday’s comments (alongside her, the Golden Child, and my brother, the Superstar), I got a little nervous.  That’s a lot of pressure, man.

I confess…that True Blood may actually help me lose weight.  I can’t snack while watching it.  Too much blood and gross stuff going on there.  Kills my appetite.  This is a good thing.

I confess…that after ranting and raving about how amazing The Help by Kathryn Stockett was the other day, I was a little disappointed in the ending.  I’m not sure what I expected to happen, but the last few chapters seemed to drag, and I had so many questions about what happened to the characters when it concluded.  Still, an excellent read.

I confess…the peanut butter-chocolate chip cake that I made the other night also did not live up to my expectations.  Despite this, I have managed to eat almost all of it.  By myself.

I confess…that I love office birthday parties.  Today we’re celebrating Sue with St. Hubert’s and cake.  Fridays are already awesome.  Birthdays make it even better.

I confess…that after re-reading this post, it’s quite clear that food occupies too much of my  time and too many of my thoughts.  No wonder my Wii Fit reminds me daily that I’m obese.

Happy Friday and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.  Don’t forget that next week I’ll be introducing my very first giveaway!!  Get excited!!

Oh, and one more thing:  Please visit The Testosterone Three And Me ASAP!  She has recently hit her 500th post and is hosting a wonderful giveaway.  Go ENTER!! :)

That's funny, I usually will bless someone but if they keep sneezing that's it...they only get the one blessing! :) Have a great weekend.

Don't listen to that wii fit! It doesn't take into account muscle mass. That said, offices are so dangerous with all their snacks and cakes! I gained so much weight when I worked in the office from all the snacking.

I like Tru Blood but it's too gory for me. I can't watch it alone, I get all scared. Ha, I'm such a dork.

I'm tempted by the Wii fit, but am not sure I'll use it. I might ask for it for Christmas.
I have yet to jump on the True Blood bandwagon. It sounds like a great show, but I don't think I can handle the blood and gore.

LOL funny- we sneeze in 2's or 3's so I am always waiting for someone's next sneeze so my bless you's are belated.

haha, you hit 55 followers and get more comments than I do with 150 followers...quality over quantity!! :)

and I always heard the "bless you" thing was b/c when you sneeze your heart stops a split second and if it doesn't re-start then they are well-wishing you into the after life. How true that is, dunno, just what I always heard. Now Mark, he says bless you to me after I hiccup, after I burp, after I stutter (hey it's happened)

Maybe the ending of the movie will be better than the book? I'm going to St.Hubert's for supper tomorrow night. Yum!

Yay for the followers!

I literally LOLd when you mentioned "the pass" when it comes to sneezing.

TOO funny!

LOL! Jillian.
OK, sorry, but here is the theological answer to why people say bless you. In the middle ages people believed youur soul left your body with your sneeze. In order for you to get your soul back, someone had to bless you. So theoretically if you let someone miss blessing you, your soul is in mortal danger. LOL!

As your student minister I can assure you your soul is in no mortal danger at all, so do whatever you want, but just in case, "BLESS YOU!"

Conngrats! It is exciting hitting each landmark! :)

I found you through Book Blogs and signed up to follow you. When you have a chance- please stop by and follow the blog for my middle grade novel that I am hoping to get published. http://thesecretdmsfilesoffairdaymorrow.blogspot.com/

Take care-
Jess- although I may show up as Fairday, the main character from my novel. I can't figure out why that happens sometimes and I can't fix it. :)
