The Easter eats were toooo good…

Well, I think you could call that a pretty amazing Easter weekend.

Or, as I like to call it, “The weekend of eating so much that I no longer fit in my pants. (Any of them).”

Needless to say, the headache hit the road early Thursday, and I thus proceeded to celebrate by consuming a LOT of food.

Pizza lunch at work...Ladysmith Wings after work...Good Friday family dinner...Mae’s on Saturday...Sunday Easter brunch out... massive family Easter dinner...and then McDonalds, theatre popcorn, and leftovers on Monday.

Whoops.

Yes. I know. I have a bridesmaids dress to fit into in just a little over a month. I have some serious – SERIOUS – work to do.
And that’s why, today, the diet begins. Again. In a major way.

I’m no fan of “crash diets”, but I don’t really have a choice right now. I’ve been unable to get back on track for over two months. Most of that hard work I did pre-Christmas has been erased, and I can’t believe I let it happen.

Remember when I used to joke about “the water & ice cube diet”? I really think I might have to do that this time. For REALZ, yo. I don’t even think I can even allow myself rabbit food and bark and berries this time around.

The good news is, while I was terrible at eating sensibly this weekend, I did start up a new initiative to get me back in action. It was an idea I’ve seen a few times on Pinterest...A “work out fund” jar.

For each time I walk (minimum of half an hour) or do some sort of exercise (Zumba or Yoga), I put a loonie in my jar. Initially, I thought this idea was ridiculous. Me? Pay, to exercise? That sounds like an even BIGGER excuse not to do it. “Huh. I have no loonies. Guess I don’t have to go for a walk tonight.” I’m lazy like that. And an expert at coming up with excuses.

BUT. It would be fun to one day count up the coin and put it towards something fun, like, say, some Lululemon gear that I always say I probably won’t fit into or can’t afford, right?

I think it just might work.

I managed to toss in $3 this weekend.  :)

OK. So. Enough about the work out and weight loss crap. How about we look at some cute pics from my weekend of fun??

PS – Dillon does not help my “baby longings”…he’s pretty much the poster boy for THE perfect child.  Always happy, smiling, cooing, bouncing, giggling…pretty much a magic baby.
Oh, how I want one…
Hope you all had a blessed & wonderful Easter!! :)

We had a great Easter! I think the workout jar is a great idea...I wonder if I could talk Mr. Art @ Home into paying me for working out....then the money could go towards a new wardrobe!!! I think it is a brilliant idea.

Tanner is too cute in his new duds. :D

I tried to eat a salad last night and it didn't taste good.

I really wanted cereal. Maybe I should do the Special K diet?

I love that workout jar idea...I think I might have to adopt that. Maybe it'll help motivate me. :)

LOVE all the pictures - way too much cuteness going on, no wonder you've got baby fever! ;)

How heartless am I? I don't long for babies.... I like the older ones :)

You know, when you were talking about the jar I thought you were going to say you had to put money in the jar every time you ate something bad for you... haha.

Since my husband doesn't eat ham, we didn't even eat a big dinner. But I definitely ate way too much candy/chocolate!

I am so candy bloated right now, it is not even funny. I feel your pain!

Easter was less exciting here, unless getting sick is exciting.

That's a really great idea! I've never heard of it, but I feel like it's a great way to reward yourself after working out consistently over time. You'll be shopping a Lululemon in no time :)

I ate and ate some more too! I gained 3 pounds which doesn't sound bad but it will take me three weeks to get it off! I lose weight at a super slow pace! However, those pictures are ADORABLE!

Ok, so what's a loonie? Is that just a canadian word? I'm assuming that it means a dollar since that's what you've been putting in there!

It's good to read you again Miss Jill! Good luck with your fitness goals but please--no water and ice cubes diet!!!! xoxo

I have been so bad lately....fast food and junk food it's so terrible! I need a workout jar except that definitely wouldn't work with me. I think I'm at the point where I need medical help!

My nephew was giving me serious baby blues this weekend so I can relate!

So many cute babies!! I can see how they feed the baby fever.

I like your workout idea. I think it could work!

I would feel like the richest girl in the world if I were able to afford to run in lulu lemon gear. Sigh...

Your workout idea is excellent! I hope you can keep up with it. You'l be so proud of yourself if you do!

If you ask me it sounds like you had a great Easter and that those pounds were full of fun. Just start over today.

Adorable pictures, he is an absolute doll-baby!
