Remember yesterday, when I said I was suffering through a headache?
Turns out it's one of the worst I've had in a long time. I left work Wednesday shortly after noon, with my head throbbing and feeling very nauseous. I was hardly through the door at home til I was sick. Then I downed some Advil, hit the couch, and slept all afternoon. My mom tells me it sounds like I have a migraine...I'm not sure, I think it's just a really bad sinus headache, but it's been pretty horrible.
As I type this, it is now late Wednesday evening, and my head is STILL not right. Frig. I just can't seem to shake this one. I sort of feel like a zombie...
But this headache better hit the road, and SOON! This is a big, exciting weekend coming up! Not only is it Easter, but it's also my "last" long weekend of the winter.
For those of you wondering, "HUH? What does she mean? Last longweekend? What??" It means that during the winter months, I only work three days a week. January, February, and March are usually a bit quieter at my desk at Mountainview, so I'm given Fridays and Mondays off.
This year, my long weekends were a little different, at least in January and part of February. Usually I spend my days off shopping, trying new recipes, watching movies, and catching up on TV shows that I love on DVD. However, when my dad was in the hospital, I spent most of those January and early February days off up there with my mom. It wasn't exactly how I had hoped to spend my "long weekends", but I'm grateful now that I had that extra time to be there.
Generally, Easter weekend is my last long weekend off before starting full-time. I tend to want to soak up this weekend even more than the others, packing in as much fun as possible, and enjoying every moment of it.
This Easter weekend, I'm looking forward to being with family - I have a few family dinners on deck, and I'm also having my niece and nephew for a sleepover, and possibly taking them to the movies. It's a little bittersweet, but as the weather continues to warm up, and my basket continues to overflow at work, I know I'm ready for the busy spring & summer months at work. Bring it!
But first...I have to get rid of the headache. I refuse to let it taint these last sweet days off. I refuse to let it ruin the yummy family dinners, and the consumption of many chocolate Easter eggs. I refuse to let it hang over this upcoming beautiful weekend like a dark cloud.
I'm off to drink more water and take more Advil and crawl under warm blankets to sleep this headache away, once and for all.
Happy Easter everyone! :)

Does your head hurt more on one side than the other--front or back, left side or right? If so then it could be a migraine. If it hurts all over it's not necessarily a migraine.
Hope it goes away no matter what kind of head ache it is.
Could it be a sinus headache? Have you taken an antihistamine--at this point, it can't hurt. Feel better soon!
Now to me, it does sound like a migraine. I used to get them all the time and felt nauseous. I had a sinus headache recently with no nausea. Personally, if they're that bad, I'd see a doctor.
Ouch - it sounds like a migraine to me, too. My mom suffers from them, and so did my best friend that I used to live with. Your reaction sounds like just what they go through. :o( Whatever it is, though, I hope it passes for you so you can enjoy the weekend! Happy Easter!!!
Bless your heart! I hope you got rid of your headache before your last long weekend!
Happy Easter!
